What we collect

Account information: your name, email address, postcode, state and household details you choose to give us.

Bill information: provider names, amounts, due dates, billing frequency, plan names and masked account references.

Documents: bills you upload as PDFs or images, stored privately.

Usage information: basic technical logs needed to run and secure the service.

Why we collect it

To organise your household bills, calculate estimates such as the put-aside figure and year-ahead forecast, and send you reminders you have asked for.

To review a bill when you explicitly request it through Broker This Bill.

To keep the service secure and to meet our legal obligations.

Who can see it

Members of your household, according to the access level you give them.

Bill Broker staff, only where necessary to provide the service — for example a bill you have sent for review, or a support request you have raised. Staff access is logged.

Service providers who host and operate our infrastructure under contract.

We do not sell your personal information.

AI processing

Documents you upload may be processed by a third-party AI model to extract bill details. This processing is limited to extraction, the results are always shown to you for confirmation, and outputs are never used to make an automated decision about your money.

Storage, retention and deletion

Documents are stored privately and are only retrievable through short-lived links generated for authorised household members.

You may delete individual documents or bills at any time. You may also request deletion of your entire account and its data.

We keep limited records where the law requires us to.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your personal information, and ask us how it has been used.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@billbroker.com.au.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at privacy@billbroker.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
