AI Use & Limitations

AI does a specific, narrow job inside Bill Broker: it reads documents so you don't have to type everything.

Last updated January 2026

Where AI is used

Extracting details from bills you upload, such as provider, amount, due date, billing period and plan name.

Answering plain-language questions about bills already in your own account.

Summarising what changed between two bills from the same provider.

Where AI is never used

AI does not recommend a financial product, does not decide to switch anything, and does not act on your behalf.

No bill data is saved to your account from an extraction until you have reviewed and confirmed it.

Known limitations

Poor scans, unusual layouts, multi-account statements and handwritten notes can all produce incorrect results.

Fields the model is unsure about are flagged so you can check them. Always compare against the original document.

Your control

You can edit any extracted value, delete the underlying document, or skip extraction entirely and enter bills manually.
